GUAVA FARMING

 Guava has been cultivated for thousands of years, and is believed that the guava tree originated in Central America, specifically in Mexico, but it quickly spread to other tropical and subtropical regions of the world. In ancient times, the guava fruit was highly prized for its nutritional value and medicinal properties. It was used to treat a variety of ailments, including colds, coughs, high blood pressure, and digestive disorders. Today, guava is grown in many parts of the world, including South and Central America, Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean. It is still highly valued for its nutritional value, with a single guava containing more than four times the amount of vitamin C found in an orange, as well as high levels of dietary fiber, potassium, and antioxidants.

Variety: There are numerous varieties of guava available, including strawberry guava, pineapple guava, and common guava.

Maturity Duration: The maturity duration of guava varies depending on the variety and growing conditions. Generally, guava trees start producing fruits within 2-4 years after planting, and the fruits mature in 3-6 months.

Expected Yield: The expected yield of guava also varies depending on the variety and growing conditions. A mature guava tree can produce an average of 50 to 80 pounds of fruit per year.

Growing Season: Guavas can be grown throughout the year in tropical and subtropical regions with warm temperatures and adequate water. In temperate regions, guavas are usually cultivated during the summer months.

Growing Temperature: Guavas thrive in warm temperatures with an optimum temperature range of 20-30°C.

Growing Soils and PH: Guavas can grow in a wide range of soils, but they grow best in well-drained soils with a pH range of 5.5-7.5
